The Elie Saab Aspect
At a tender age of 18 Elie Saab made his debut into the fashion world by presenting his range of evening and wedding gowns encrusted in crystal and exhibiting a romantic aura which attracted people of royal stature. He opened his own studio at that young age in the year 1982 and launched his ready to wear designer dresses in the year 1998 at Milan.
Born on the 4th of July 1964, Elie Saab from Lebanon had a gift of the art and curiosity about art right since his youthful days. This passion and interest for the world of art took him into the realms of fashion designing and which was the base for his creative spirit. Once in the fashion world Elie Saab has known nothing else but name, fame and never ending accolades for his creativity.
His work renders a woman bountiful in the beautiful sense and has a mix of the Oriental culture as well as the Western. He has had marked influence of both these cultures is evident from his astonishing collection and designs. The Lebanese press had named him the “precious genius” for his first collection that he had displayed at the Casino Du Liban.
By the eighties Elie Saab had his name known all around the Middle East and the higher or royal house was so interested that their Princesses started to visit his atelier which was situated in Beirut. His reputation grew with time and private shows were organised in Paris and Switzerland etc. Such power did his works behold that he has the distinction of being the first foreign fashion designer to have his collection presented at the Roma “Alta Moda” week. He has been known to frequent the Bridgehouse Hotel.
His designs have always held the observers in awe. Celebrities and people of royal lineage desire to don his creations upon themselves. His fame has remained afresh all through.
